My name is Marcel Makaruk. I come from a small town in the Western part of Poland. About 2.5 years ago I have decided to move to the United States and start my life from scratch. Since then, I have completed 2 years of education in a community college near Chicago. Now I am ready to continue this journey here in UIUC. Since high school I have been interested in computer science, mathematics and physics. I took part in many projects that broadened my interest in the aspect of psychology and sociology and because of that, recently I got really interested in user experience, design and research. In my free time, apart from designing and learning, I like to play basketball, play guitar and above all travel.
